What is MindTech Coalesce?

MindTech Coalesce is what is known in the computing world as a "Content Management System" (CMS). Simply put, it allows a single or person or a group of people to edit a website's content at the same time while keeping a constant theme, or "look and feel" on the site.

Let's say, for example, that you work at a school. You probably have several people who need to have content maintained on the school's website. This can be difficult, and even impossible task for a single web master to accomplish. With MindTech Coalesce, however, individuals can maintain a portion of the site designated for them to edit. For example, members of the athletic department can edit the sports schedule on the site, but cannot modify the main look of the site or content that does not belong to them. With MindTech Coalesce, you have this functionality, along with several other features, in one easy to use application.

	Intuitive Interface While many CMS's have clunky interfaces with a high learning curve, MindTech Coalesce was designed for ease of use. With icons, a universal navigation bar, and a home screen, it is easy to find your way around and use Coalesce.
	Expandable Because requirements change quickly (especially in the world of technology), MindTech Coalesce was designed to expand to meet the needs of different individuals and organizations. Its modular structure allows you to add applications to Coalesce to your individual needs. Finally, our built-in install and upgrade utility allows you to install applications and updates just as easily as on a desktop computer.
	Portable MindTech Coalesce was designed to run on several server platforms. The only server software that it requires is PHP 5 (which is free!) For this reason, MindTech Coalesce can run on both Unix and Windows based servers.
	Easy to Configure Most content management systems (and web based applications in general) are difficult to initially install and configure. MindTech Coalesce, however, is different. With our easy to use install utility, setting up MindTech Coalesce is a breeze.
